Maritime Brokerage Programme
EDUCATION
Maritime brokerage has become one of the most respected and lucrative professions in the world. There is no Turkish institution that offers original university education in this area. This very programme in the PRU Maritime Higher Vocational School is the first programme in Turkey and offers an education that provides valuable job opportunities for its graduates. The students graduate as qualified employee who is competent about maritime transportation market, determines freight and ship compliance, makes voyage estimations, arranges charter parties in accordance with the maritime law and communicates in English language with a basic level of management and business knowledge.
If the students demonstrate the success in necessary formal exams (introduced by the ÖSYM- Turkish Centre for Student Selection and Placement), they will be able to continue their education in the relevant bachelor departments of the faculties as following:
- Maritime Business Management
- Management
- Logistic Management
- International Trade and Finance
- International Trade and Management
- International Trade and Logistic
Our graduates may also continue their education in the relevant bachelor departments of any three Faculty of Open University as followings: Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Public Finance, International Relations, Management, Tourism Management, International Trade and Logistic.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the Maritime Brokerage Programme are able to find jobs in brokerage and freight forwarding companies, ship agencies, insurance brokerage firms, foreign trade companies operating internationally, seaports and terminals.
