Moot Court

Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is one of the most comprehensive and prestigious moot court competitions in the world. Since 1994, the competition has been held in Vienna and aims to train and support future lawyers in the areas of the United Nations Convention on the Sale of Goods (CISG) and international commercial arbitration. Each year, approximately 380 law school teams from 89 countries (approximately 2,500 students), including some of the world’s most prestigious law schools and and more than a thousand professors and practitioners participate in the competition as arbitrators.

The competition consists of two different parts, written and oral in English. In the written part of the competition, teams present their memorandums. This is followed by an oral rounds held in Vienna in March-April. In the oral rounds, each team are expected to present their cases in English before an arbitral tribunal.

PİRİ REİS UNIVERSITY LAW FACULTY TEAM 

Pîrî Reis University Faculty of Law will be represented by the team consisting of Duru Danışkan, Eylül Nilsu, Zeynep Özerdem and Şerif Kerem Gündoğdu at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Competition, which will be held for the 31st time in Vienna this year.
