DOUBLE MAJOR APPLICATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS;
Double major applications are made to the Directorate of Student Affairs with the application form and transcript on the dates announced in the academic calendar.
The student can apply to the DMP at the beginning of the 3rd semester at the earliest and the 5th semester of the major undergraduate programme at the latest.
In order for the student to apply for the DMP, he/she must have successfully completed all the courses taken in the major undergraduate programme until the semester he/she applies, must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 and must be in the top 20% of the success ranking in the relevant class of the major programme.
If the number of applicants exceeds the quota determined by the faculty, the student with the higher GPA is given priority. When the GPAs are equal, the student’s percentage in the success ranking of the major programme is taken into consideration.
Student applications that meet the necessary conditions are sent to the relevant faculty or faculties by the Registrar’s Office.
Students cannot be enrolled in more than one double major programme or both double major and minor programmes at the same time.
DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAMME TUITION FEE;
Students whose applications are accepted, apart from the tuition fee of the department they are enrolled in, also pay the fee calculated per credit determined for that year for the courses they will take in the double major programme.
Students who benefit from scholarships or discounts in their major programme also benefit from these rights in their double major programme. The scholarship period is two semesters after graduation from the major programme.
MINOR APPLICATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS;
Students can apply to the minor programme at the beginning of the 3rd semester at the earliest and the 6th semester of the undergraduate programme in which they are enrolled at the latest.
Applications for the minor programme are made to the Directorate of Student Affairs on the announced dates with the application form and transcript.
In order for a student to apply for a minor programme, he/she must have successfully completed all the courses in the undergraduate programme in which he/she is enrolled until the semester in which he/she applies and must have a GPA of at least 2.50 at the time of application.
In case the number of applications exceeds the quota determined by the faculty, the one with the higher GPA is given priority. When the GPA is equal, the student’s percentage in the success ranking of the major programme is taken into consideration.
Students cannot be enrolled in more than one minor programme or both minor and double major programmes at the same time.
MINOR PROGRAMME TUITION FEE;
Students whose application is accepted pay the fee per credit calculated for that year for each course they will take in the minor programme, apart from the tuition fee of the department in which they are enrolled.
Students who benefit from scholarships or discounts in their major programme also benefit from these rights in their minor programme. The scholarship period is one semester after graduation from the major programme.
