DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

INTERNAL TRANSFER FINAL REGISTRATION

Students who apply for Intra-Institutional Transfer are required to come to the Directorate of Student Affairs and make the dismissal procedures from their current programmes and register to the new programme accepted.

Inter-institutional Transfer Final Registration Documents;

– Photocopy of Identity Card

– 2 Photographs

– ÖSYS / YKS / DGS Result Certificate and Placement Certificate according to the type of exam he/she entered the university he/she is enrolled in (LYS result document from those who will apply to a department different from the department he/she is currently enrolled in)

– Student Certificate (It must be current dated and approved)

– Transcript (2 current and certified) (except for those from the preparatory year)

– Course contents (except for those from the preparatory year)

– A document stating that he/she has not been disciplined during his/her education (Signed and Sealed)

– A document stating that he/she did not transfer within the scope of Additional Article-1

– Certificate of No Obstacle to Transfer (It is an important document and must be submitted during registration)

– Students who apply to the departments with Compulsory Preparatory Programme must take the English Proficiency Exam after completing their transfer registration.

***   HEALTH REPORT WITH THE PHRASE “MEETS SEAFARER’S REQUIREMENTS”

 

***The report, which is obtained from public and private health institutions authorised according to the provisions of the seafarers’ health directive, bearing the phrase “MEETS SEAFARER’S REQUIREMENTS”, will be issued by the students of the Faculty of Maritime Studies (Marine Transportation Management Engineering and Marine Machinery Management Engineering students), Maritime Vocational School (Marine Transportation Management, Marine Machinery Management, Mechatronics, Marine and Port Management, Marina and Yacht Management). After the hospital report is completed, a photocopy of the Seafarers’ Health Attendance Certificate, which is approved by the General Directorate of Border and Coastal Health, will be submitted to the Student Affairs Directorate during registration.

****For our students who will enroll in the Underwater Technologies Programme of the Vocational School of Maritime Studies, a photocopy of the health report document bearing the phrase ‘MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A PROFESSIONAL UNDERWATER MAN’ will be submitted to the Student Affairs Directorate during registration.

English Proficiency Exam

In the transfers between the Faculties and Departments of Piri Reis University, English Proficiency is not required for students who successfully pass the preparatory class with 60 points.

Students coming from outside Piri Reis University are processed within the framework of the English Preparatory Class Education and Examination Regulations.

Nationally and internationally recognised documents with foreign language exemption requirements are evaluated by the Preparatory School Directorate.

In addition, the conditions for benefiting from our University’s transfer scholarships / discounts will be valid in the following cases.

– Transfer scholarships / discounts are only valid for annual registration renewals; scholarships / discounts are not valid for extension periods and per-credit fees.

– In the case of transfer scholarships / discounts, the student period is calculated according to the class in which the student is enrolled.

– The semesters you have studied before transferring are deducted from the total scholarship period.

– Scholarship / discount rates can be evaluated every year. You can contact the Directorate of Financial Affairs regarding the fees.

 

Documents to be requested from students who have the right to enrol in undergraduate / associate degree programmes from abroad with inter-institutional transfer (According to the legislation, applications can only be received for the Vocational School of Maritime Studies in the Spring semester)

Border Entry-Exit Certificate (Must be obtained from the General Directorate of Security)
