An International Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Piri Reis University and HITAS

Rector of Piri Reis University Prof. Dr. Nafiz ARICA and Founder of Hanseatic Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (HITAS) in Cameroon, Prof. Dr. Maurice K. KAMGA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 3rd of October 2025 at Piri Reis University at Istanbul. The Memorandum indicates the willingness of cooperate in promoting teaching and research activities in Maritime education. The areas of cooperation shall include, any activity or program at either institution considered feasible by both Parties to foster and develop the cooperative academic relationship.

At the same day, Piri Reis University and His Excellency (H.E.) Judge Prof. Dr. Maurice Kengne KAMGA (International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea-ITLOS) also signed an Adjunct Professorship Agreement. Judge Prof. Dr. Maurice K. KAMGA agreed to conduct academic research in collaboration with the Faculty of Law at Piri Reis University and to teach undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students within the Faculty.
