The 2nd Transnational Meeting of the SUDEMAR Project was held at our University.
The second transnational meeting of the SUDEMAR (Sustainable Development of the European MARitime sector) Project, which aims to establish international cooperation and open source in order to raise awareness on maritime sustainability, was held at Piri Reis University maritime campus on 15-16 October with the participation of representatives of the project partner countries.
The objectives to be achieved within the framework of the project, in which higher education institutions and various organisations in Germany, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia and Greece are partners, are as follows
– To create a data pool containing all existing practices and regulations in the maritime sector in line with sustainable development goals,
– Creating an online course on realising sustainable development in the maritime sector and preparing all course materials related to the subject,
– To develop a user-friendly and functional mobile application that provides access to key resources, information and tools related to the Sustainable Development Goals in the maritime sector.
