If students complete the graduation requirements of the programs they are registered in, they are entitled to receive a diploma within the framework of the decisions of the Relevant Academic Units.
Graduation, diploma and related document procedures are carried out within the framework of the ‘’Piri Reis University Directive on the Preparation of Diplomas and Other Documents Related to Education and Training’’.
Students are evaluated within the framework of the graduation obligations of the program they are registered in, and those who have completed their obligations are determined as of the last day announced for grade entries in the academic calendar.
The graduation of the determined students is finalized with the decision of the board of directors of the institute/faculty/college they are affiliated with. The Student Affairs Directorate Automation Group initiates the graduation procedures for students whose graduation is finalized.
A “Temporary Graduation Certificate” is prepared for students whose graduation is finalized in accordance with the relevant directive following the decision of the board of directors regarding their graduation. The diploma supplement is a document given with the diploma and facilitates the academic and professional recognition of the diploma. The diploma supplement does not replace the diploma and does not guarantee international academic recognition. The diploma supplement, the format of which is based on a model developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES, consists of the following sections: information about the diploma supplement holder; information defining the degree received; information about the level of the degree received; information about the content of the program; information about the areas of use of the degree received; additional information; information about the approval of the diploma supplement; information about the national higher education system.
The first copy of the diploma supplement is issued at the same time as the diploma; it is given free of charge together with the diploma without any request from the graduate. A “true copy” certified copy of this first copy is taken and kept in the graduate’s file. Subsequent copies of the diploma supplement are issued for a fee upon the written application of the graduate.
Since diplomas are valuable documents, they are delivered by hand only to the graduates themselves or to their proxy representatives who have been given a power of attorney in this regard, with a signature and a delivery report. Diplomas cannot be delivered in any other way.
- The Temporary Graduation Certificate is issued only once. The original of this document cannot be used for job applications, etc. In cases where it is not necessary to submit it to the relevant institution, it is recommended to submit a photocopy or a copy of the document approved by a notary instead.
- When receiving diplomas, the delivery of a temporary graduation certificate is requested.
Some of our graduates may not have graduation information in the diploma verification system even though they have graduated.
The system login process for all our graduates continues.
